Then head up to the North Island and venture to Taupo, Rotoua and Waitomo to experience local culture and awesome scenery. From Auckland your travels will take you to beautiful Paihia in the Bay of Islands, where you can go sailing, fishing, mountain biking or just chill out on the beach.
