Day 1: ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH

Day 2: CHRISTCHURCH/MOUNT COOK/QUEENSTOWN
(Optional meal plans begin today)
Today travel south, across the Canterbury Plains, through the Mackenzie country via Lake Tekapo where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd. Continue alongside the Tasman River to Mount Cook National Park. We suggest a scenic flight over some of New Zealand’s finest alpine scenery. Continue on to the Lindis Pass, and through the Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital.

Day 3: DOUBTFUL SOUND EXPERIENCE/TE ANAU
Leave Queenstown and enter the Fiordland World Heritage Park. Enjoy a cruise on picturesque Lake Manapouri and visit the fascinating underground power station (conditions permitting). Take a short bush walk and enjoy the magnificence of a catamaran cruise on Doubtful Sound. This vessel stops at various places of geographic and historical interest in an area surrounded by wildlife and ancient forest. Return to Te Anau

Day 4: TE ANAU/MILFORD SOUND/QUEENSTOWN
(Subject to road and weather conditions)
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. View the Mirror lakes as you continue through the Eglinton Valley. From the Homer Tunnel emerge into the Cleddau Valley. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat Cruise. View the spectacular scenery and many points of interest as you venture the full length of the sound to the Tasman Sea. Return to the wharf at Milford Sound and then return to Queenstown.

Day 5: QUEENSTOWN
A free day to enjoy the many leisure pursuits on offer. Staff at “The Station” can assist with information and reservations for the huge selection of things to do and see.

Day 6: QUEENSTOWN
Your tour arrangements conclude this morning.
