Day 1: Arrive Auckland
On
arrival at Auckland airport, you will be met by our representative
and transferred to your accommodation (self drive passengers collect
rental car on arrival). Known as the City of Sails", Auckland
is New Zealand's largest and most vibrant city offering an array
of cosmopolitan experiences. Enfolded by two huge harbours, Auckland
is an environment that's alive with cultural excitement and sea-flavoured
challenges.
Day
2: Auckland - Bay of Islands
Leaving your hotel this morning, cross the Harbour Bridge and travel
through the northern suburbs of Auckland with the beach side homes
of the Hibiscus Coast to the west, and the bush-covered Waitakere
Ranges out to the west. Marvel at the magnificence of the protected
Kauri Tree at the Parry Kauri Park and enjoy spectacular scenery
of native forests and sub-tropical bush as you make your way to
Paihia in the Bay of Islands, a seaside town nestled on the foreshore
of the National Maritime Park.
Day
3: Bay of Islands - At Leisure
Today is at leisure to explore this beautiful National Maritime
Park. Perhaps take a tour to the top of the North Island to visit
Ninety Mile Beach and Cape Reinga, cruise to Cape Brett and the
famous “Hole in the Rock”, go sailing, try your hand at big game
fishing or take a short ferry ride will take you to the historic
town of Russell, which was New Zealand’s first Capital town. Alternatively
simply relax on a beautiful golden sandy beach (additional cost).
And to complete the day we have included a spa treatment designed
to de-stress and re-energise.
Day
4: Bay of Islands - Mangatawhiri Valley
Today enjoy a leisurely drive via the East Coast of the North Island
and through Auckland’s northern suburbs. You may note the sprawling
nature of Auckland, which despite only having one million inhabitants,
is one of the top 10 largest cities in the world area wise. Then
continue south to reach you destination nestled in the native bus
of the Mangatawhiri Valley.

5: Mangatawhiri Valley -Rotorua
The Waikato River will accompany you for much of your journey today
through the green countryside as you travel to the inland city of
Hamilton, a city carved in two by the mighty Waikato River. Your
journey then continues through the fertile Waikato region before
arriving at the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua.
Day
6: Rotorua - At Leisure
Today is at leisure to relax or explore the "thermal city".
Optional activities include a visit to one of the local thermal
reserves, a cruise on Lake Rotorua, a four wheel drive excursion
to the summit of Mt Tarawera, or perhaps a visit to the award winning
Rainbow Springs trout pools and farmshow (additional cost). Tonight
bathe in the thermal waters and enjoy and aix massage or mud treatment
at Polynesian Spa.
Day
7: Rotorua - Queenstown
Time at leisure this morning before joining your scheduled flight
to Queenstown (flight not included). On arrival you collect your
new rental vehicle or are transferred to your accommodation. On
arrival, enjoy some time relaxing in this pristine environment.
Later this afternoon enjoy a one hour massage at the Spa at Millbrook
Resort.

8: Queenstown -Dart River Safari
Today
enjoy the true wilderness experience on a journey of discovery,
ancient forests, cascading waterfalls and New Zealand wilderness
at its best. Jetboat the full length of the Dart River … and more!
Then journey the back road via Paradise and enjoy an easy walk amidst
ancient forests and birdsong – a must for any visitor to New Zealand,
a journey to mesmerize even the most seasoned traveller. Awe-inspiring,
informative, educational and fun are the words that will describe
your day!
Day
9: Queenstown - At Leisure
Today is at leisure to relax or explore Queenstown. Whether it's
bungy jumping, white-water rafting, heli-skiing, fly-fishing, hang
gliding, horse riding or scenic flights, you will find thrills and
excitement in every way imaginable. Meanwhile, other activities
such as exploring historic Arrowtown, scenic walks, eco-tours, shopping,
galleries, cafes and an exciting nightlife provide something for
everyone all year round (additional cost).
Day
10: Depart Queenstown
Sadly your time in New Zealand comes to an end as you transfer to
or return your rental car to the airport for your onward flight.
Here, we bid you a fond farewell to your homeland and hope you leave
with many happy memories of your stay in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
