Day 2: Christchurch – Punting on the
Avon & Tram Dinner
This morning sit back and relax in a custom built beautifully upholstered
punt as your boatman guides you past the sights of the central city.
Enjoy the tranquillity and calm which is uniquely Christchurch.
Your punting journey takes you right through the central business
district of the city, giving you a different perspective of lovely
parks, historic buildings and tree lined avenues - punting, an experience
unique to Christchurch.... (except of course if you’re in England).
The remainder of the day is at your leisure. This evening enjoy
fabulous dining aboard the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant where
dining is not only a culinary delight but also a trip back into
history. We invite you to sit back in the luxury of the air-conditioned,
colonial style, a la carte dining tram and be treated to the finest
service, cuisine and beverages that New Zealand has to offer.
Day

Depart Christchurch today and travel through diverse farmland to
Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good
Shepherd. Your tour then continues along the Tasman River before
arriving in Mt Cook National Park where you will find New Zealand’s
tallest mountain, Aoraki / Mt Cook which stands at 3754 metres.
Awarded 'World Heritage' status in recognition of its qualities
and rare beauty, the Park covers an area of nearly 70,000 hectares
and contains all but five of the 27 peaks over 3,000 metres (10,000
feet) in New Zealand.
Day

The lakeside resort town of Wanaka can provide you with an appealing
mix of fine living, fun and adventure. It has a high concentration

perhaps a fishing trip, or take a scenic flight.
Day

Enjoy the scenery of the fruit growing region of Cromwell and the
historic gold mining region of the rugged Kawarau Gorge before arriving
in Queenstown. Perhaps the most famous of all South Island cities,
Queenstown’s pulse thumps to the beat of action, adrenalin and visual
wonder. Alive with activity all year round, there is enough activity
to keep you entertained all day and all night.
Day 7: Queenstown – Mountainous Glacier Flight
Head west by helicopter over the stunning Queenstown Basin towards
the frozen lakes and blue and green ice falls of the Southern Alps.
There is time to take superb photos during a landing on one of the
many glaciers before flying back to Queenstown. On arrival the remainder
of the day is at your leisure.
Day

bungy jumping, white-water rafting, heli-skiing, fly-fishing, hang
gliding, horse riding or scenic flights, you will find thrills and
excitement in every way imaginable. Meanwhile, other activities
such as exploring historic Arrowtown, scenic walks, eco-tours, shopping,
galleries, cafes and an exciting nightlife provide something for
everyone all year round. Queenstown is unique in comparison to other
international resorts by virtue of its distinct four seasons giving
