Day 1: Arrive Auckland
On arrival at Auckland airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your accommodation (self drive passengers collect rental car on arrival). Known as the City of Sails", Auckland is New Zealand's largest and most vibrant city offering an array of cosmopolitan experiences. Enfolded by two huge harbours, Auckland is an environment that's alive with cultural excitement and sea-flavoured challenges.

Day 2: Auckland – Northland
Leaving your hotel this morning, cross the Harbour Bridge and travel through the northern suburbs of Auckland with the beach side homes of the Hibiscus Coast to the west, and the bush-covered Waitakere Ranges out to the west. Marvel at the magnificence of the protected Kauri Tree at the Parry Kauri Park and enjoy spectacular scenery of native forests and sub-tropical bush as you make your way to Northland.

Day 3: Northland – At Leisure
Today it's all here in one destination. Swim, kayak and snorkel from the bay, take a skippered yacht charter, a fishing and sightseeing launch charter or walk the stunning coastal conservation reserves surrounding the Cavalli Beach House Retreat (additional cost).

Day 4: Northland – Mangatawhiri Valley
Today enjoy a leisurely drive back to Auckland via the East Coast of the North Island and through Auckland’s northern suburbs. You may note the sprawling nature of Auckland, which despite only having one million inhabitants, is one of the top 10 largest cities in the world area wise. The continue on past Auckland to reach your destination nestled in the native bush of the Mangatawhiri Valley.

Today is at leisure to enjoy the best that this region has to offer. Perhaps a picnic at the beach or in the bush, a relaxing day at the stunning beaches or take a 20 minute drive to Hot Water Beach which is one of the region’s most fascinating places. For two hours either side of low tide, you can dig in the sand for hot spring water and make your own spa pool.

Day 7: Coromandel – Rotorua
Today travel along the Bay of Plenty Coastline before heading inland across the volcanic plateau to the geothermal city of Rotorua, passing many of the regions crystal clear lakes en-route. Best known for its geysers, boiling mud pools, crystal lakes teeming with trout, steaming cliffs and volcanoes, Rotorua is also the home of Maori culture. Stand upon active volcanoes, peer into massive craters, enjoy a soak in a mineral hot pool and enjoy unspoiled native forests that cloak the region. This is your invitation to experience the essence of this extraordinary slice of New Zealand.
